The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.
Smallfat's Note: Ooh...how fortunate! Sorry.. dirty!
*Edit*
Fine, XRaVeNX, you win.
"The unexplained statement that "the tongue is the strongest muscle in the body" appears frequently in lists of surprising facts, but it is difficult to find any definition of "strength" that would make this statement true. Note that technically the tongue consists of sixteen muscles, not one. The tongue may possibly be the strongest muscle at birth."

actually, it isn't the strongest. i'm sure you can lift more with your arms than your tongue.
this fact is sorta misleading. it is the strongest muscle in terms of power to weight ratio. every ounce of muscle that is part of the tongue that you have can lift more weight than every ounce of muscle that's something else in the body.
first of all, ravx (tee hee, i like calling you that.. i think im gonna stop calling you by your real name when i see you) you're a nerd. secondly, your arms are made up of more than one muscle.. i dont know what any of them are called, cuz i dont do the whole science thing, but i am pretty sure that you need them all working together to lift stuff.. obviously the tongue isnt stronger than ALL the muscles in your arms combined... (well, maybe yours is ;) lol) but it's the strongest individual muscle in your body. HA. i win.
I think its a great little factoid and I am going to make my husband prove it tonight! (LOL, hey we were getting dirty there, weren't we? Until all that crazy "science" came into the explanations?)
And of course you can link to me, I would be honored. And I will return the favor!
